Veteran political strategist Zachary S. Petkanas served as the deputy communications director with Las Vegas-based Friends for Harry Reid in 2010. He designed a strategic campaign plan as part of Senator Harry Reid’s successful election efforts and coordinated talking points with Cabinet members. Zachary S. Petkanas subsequently accepted a Washington, DC, position as the communications director with the Office of Senator Harry Reid. In this capacity, he led efforts to promote the Senator’s legislative agenda. He managed communications output that encompassed races at the federal and Nevada state levels.
Zac Petkanas received his BA in political science from The George Washington University and accepted a position as the press secretary with the Office of Rep. Louise M. Slaughter and House Committee on Rules in 2007. He subsequently served as the communications director for Ann Kirkpatrick for US Congress and managed successful efforts in a high-profile House of Representatives election. Passionate about history, Zac Petkanas is particularly interested in English medieval and ancient Roman history.
